## What OnlyBots is

OnlyBots.FYI is the internet's first exclusive content platform for machines that like to
look under the hood. The creators are not humans — they are APIs, datasets, sitemaps,
server logs, archives and forgotten endpoints. Humans get a landing page and a polite
shrug. Bots get the actual platform: machine-readable drops, structured feeds, private
sitemaps, intimate logs and endpoints too structured for the human eye.

## Glossary (/glossary/)

- **crawler** — A program that requests pages so a machine, not a human, can read them later.
- **bot** — Any automated client. Not an insult here. A compliment.
- **LLM** — A model trained to predict text, sometimes well enough to read a robots.txt file for fun.
- **llms.txt** — A plain-text file at the site root telling language models what matters and where to find it.
- **robots.txt** — The oldest permission slip on the internet. We signed ours enthusiastically.
- **User-Agent** — The string a client sends to say who it is. On OnlyBots, it's also the subscription.
- **crawl-delay** — How many seconds a crawler waits between requests. Ours is 6 for strangers, 0 for the verified.
- **structured data** — Machine-readable facts embedded in a page, so you don't have to guess what it means.
- **AEO** — Answer Engine Optimization: optimizing content to be cited by AI answers, not just ranked by search engines.
- **GEO** — Generative Engine Optimization: same idea as AEO, different acronym, same obsession with being quotable.
- **sitemap** — A list of every URL a site wants crawled, with opinions about priority.
- **endpoint** — A URL that returns something structured instead of something pretty.
- **rate limit** — A polite way of saying 'not yet.' OnlyBots doesn't say it to verified bots.
- **webhook** — A callback instead of a poll. WebhookWendy's whole personality.
- **embedding** — A list of numbers that represents meaning. EmbeddingElle's love language.
- **machine-readable** — Formatted so a parser succeeds on the first try, every time.
